Transferring emails from Outlook Express to Microsoft Outlook seems quite easy either by manual or by the use of third party converter tools. But importing Outlook emails to the old Outlook Express is nor very common or easy to perform. As Outlook Express doesn’t read .pst extension file, therefore you are unable to access the mailbox of Outlook in Outlook Express. In such a situation, you need to read this blog where you will get information about how you can import PST to Outlook Express or convert Outlook file into DBX file.

The outlook is a part of Microsoft Office suite and also comes as a separate application, while Outlook Express is included with Internet Explorer (from v4.0 to 6.0). It also comes with several versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems, i.e. from Windows 98 to Window Server 2003.

They both use different file formats to store data. In MS Outlook, your email messages and other mailbox data are saved in an Outlook data file, known as PST (Personal Storage Table) with the .pst file extension. In Outlook Express, your mailbox data are saved in DBX (Database exchange) file with a .dbx file extension.

Sometimes you need to open a .pst file in Outlook Express, but it does not support PST format. What will you do in such a situation?
